Our community is only as strong as the values we publicly defend. But right now, the Trump Administration is attacking immigrants with house raids, separating families, and locking children in concentration camps.
We know that we are stronger and safer when we take bold public action to keep families together. Art and cultural organizing have always been powerful ways to practice this solidarity, but they need to be public.
Sanctuary Streets offers a public poster exhibit to build strong communities. You can host the 12 posters in any public space, whether it’s a school, museum, library, faith institution or other community center. The only requirement? The posters face the street.

In July of 2019, Los Angeles County Board members decided to pay McCarthy Building Companies $30 million dollars to begin designing L.A. County’s 8th jail.
Reform L.A. Jails, a 2020 ballot initiative powered by Black Lives Matter, community organizations, and grassroots activists, immediately ran a rapid-response campaign to #CancelMcCarthy.
I designed this conversion-focused campaign website, signing up thousands of voters and generating enough public pressure to successfully cancel the jail contract one week after pushing the website live.

This multimedia website is the platform for Rosa Clemente, a 2008 United States Vice-Presidential candidate, journalist, political commentator, and scholar-activist.
The interface allows users to filter between press, articles, photos, videos, and interviews, as well as by projects, such as Rosa’s activism at the Golden Globes or co-founding of #PRontheMap.
While educational, the call to action of each page is transparent: why and how to book Dr. Clemente for a speaking engagement. Secondary actions include joining her email list (new posts are sent to this list automatically via RSS using MailChimp’s API) and sharing articles on Facebook and Twitter.
A blend of academic and friendly typography – along with a twist on a red, white and blue color scheme – make a home for a leading voice in progressive U.S. politics.

For four years I managed visual communications of Jewish Voice for Peace, a 70-chapter national membership organization.
I lead creative content across channels: email (200k), website (70k/month), Facebook (550k), Twitter (100k), Instagram (35k) and print (30k).
I managed JVP’s website, publications and photo/video teams, and administered the organizational style guide, brand assets and online store.
For both long-term strategic priorities and rapid-response opportunities, I designed websites, graphics and videos that organically reached millions of people.
My role also included writing copy for web, email and social media, managing analytics and A/B testing, and photographing campaigns and conferences for publication.

For a decade, Israel has enforced a military blockade over two million Palestinians in Gaza. During the summer of 2017, people in Gaza only had an average of 4 hours of electricity per day.
This microsite scraped publicly available data to display the time periods that five major cities in Gaza had power the day before.
Using data, design and creative messaging, the website offers viewers a unique way to reflect on the length of time they would have had to spend without power.
This microsite accompanied a viral social campaign to “Shine A Light On Gaza” when Israel was throttling their power supply. The campaign was picked up in outlets in Israel/Palestine and the U.S. and gave internationals a creative tool to humanize Palestinians facing a human rights crisis.
